While it is still an idea... Mr. Nino is exploring the possibility to travel to Kenya for the school year 2025-2026.  This time in addition to music concerts to the school, communities and churches,  new elements will be added to the programing: evangelistic campaign & video production. This tour will address local necessities of the community by connecting the Highland View Academy students to the local people with a weekend of spiritual emphasis which include sermons, VBS,  and one reach out community project, culminating with a video production. The goal to raise the bar of impact, not only through high quality music but also addressing the spiritual and physical needs of our brothers and sisters in Kenya.

Potential participants needed skills:  
  • Strong voice (Highlanders and selected choir members)
  • Good level of instrumental performance: Band, Strings, or Handbells. 
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Great story telling
  • Preaching
  • Cooking
  • Capable of understanding and following directions. 
  • Willing to represent HVA with high standards of behavior and personal appearance.
  • Ready to volunteer at any giving need.

Packing list: 
  1. Personal worship books (Bible, devotionals..)
  2. Performance uniform for church (Black)
  3. Khaki pants and black polo school logo shirt for school performances.  
  4. Personal hygiene items. & prescription medicine (please provide prescription medicine information to Mrs. Nino).
  5. Swimming suits - According to school handbook (Please refer to school handbook for proper recreational attire)  
  6. Download WhatsApp in your cellphone and text Mr. Nino (740-358 3178) to include you in the Florida tour group for instant messaging (Required during the tour for all travelers). 
  7. Submit reading acknowledgment of trip rules below. 
  8. Cash for checking bags TBA
  9. Students over 18 years of age, NEED to bring an OFFICIAL GOVERMENT ID (Passport preferably, or U.S. Driver license if that is the case). 
  10. Additional packing items recommendations: cap, or beach hat,  sunblock, sunglasses.
  11. Binoculars! 
  12. Other general rules: 
  • Stay with the group at all times. 
  • Future punctuality rules.  For special cases, there will be an additional contract requiring agreement to $20 per minute late. 
  • Aspiring participant students will sign up the "interest form" and the Tour director and the school will approve tour participation, based on current school status and previous tours inputs

Trip rules:
  • Same student school handbook policies apply.
  • No mixed seating during trip (Bus or Airplane)
  • Punctuality at all times. Being late to bus loading times impacts the tour schedule and takes away time for warm ups and preparations for concert, which may impact performances. Lateness will be addressed seriously. 
  • Punctuality at curfew times.  Curfew times is 10:00 pm.  Meaning no student is allowed to be outside the rooms. Students outside the room after curfew times will get a behavioral writeup in Renweb at first instance. Second instance, student will be sent home and traveling cost will be charge to parents. 
  • No Doordash or similar services requested to  the Hotel.  This is for safety and for compliance with schedules. 
  • For general questions during the tour please contact a sponsor, and for emergencies contact Mr. Nino.  
  • During worship, rehearsals and church:
    • No cellphone. 
    • No sleeping during church or worship services.  
  • Attire for airport traveling: jeans or khakis with Tour t-shirt. Not shorts, or beach apparel., no pajama pants, no fitness apparel.
