WAU Music festival
February 12-15 , 2025
Schedule:
Participants for 2025: TBA
- Wednesday 12, Leaving HVA by 6:15 pm.
- Thursday 13, all day rehearsals - Night HVA strings performing at WAU HS showcase.
- Friday 14, all day rehearsals and worshops. - Night vespers at Sligo Church
- Sabbath 15, morning worship at Sligo church, WAU festival students participation.
- Sabbath afternoon concert (Time to be announced) at Sligo church.
- Hotel curfew time: 10:00 pm
- No mixed gender in the rooms, or halls. Only in designated lobby area.
- No Doordash purchases to Hotel.
- On-time attendance to bus loading, rehearsals, lunch time etc.
- No visits with anybody who is not participating in WAU festival, except for direct family members. (no visits with former or current HVA students during the festival).
- Cellphones will be collected by sponsor on on Friday night.
- No cellphone use during rehearsals, neither during church time.
- No TV, movies, secular music during Friday night.
Participants for 2025: TBA
The festival is directed for Choirs, Orchestra and Band. The following criteria will apply for your participation in the WAU festival.
- Registration fee $100 - Paid by January 15, 2025
- Intermediate to advance level of performance.
- Active membership in either Highlanders, band or strings.
- Space will be limited to 24 students in total. 8 (choir), 8 (strings), and 8 (band).

Packing list:
- Performance uniform for Sabbath.
- Personal hygiene items for 3 days.
- For rehearsals: No school uniform necessary. Approve school apparel (no pajama pants, no sweet pants, no yoga pants)
- Instrument and folder.
